Area of application
Cellular maculate as a paintable and trowelable wallpaper base for rough plaster. Smoothes, fills pores, regulates absorbency and improves adhesion.
Preparation
All substrates must be clean, dry, sound, absorbent and free of release agents. Use baufan Deep Penetrating Primer LF to increase the strength. Substrates that cannot be consolidated or do not adhere sufficiently must be completely removed. Repair cracks, holes and break-outs with baufan interior filler. If in doubt, carry out a test application.
Processing
Stir the contents of the pack into the appropriate amount of clean, cold water. Mixing ratio: Mix 1 kg of baufan cellular maculate with approx. 6 litres of water. After a swelling time of approx. 30 minutes, the spreadability can be optimised by adding more. It can be applied with a roller, brush, paintbrush or flat brush. If baufan Zell-Makulatur is to be levelled, e.g. to level coarse plaster, reduce the amount of water accordingly. (1 kg powder to 4 - 5 litres of water). Clean tools with water immediately after use. As baufan Zell-Makulatur does not contain any preservative, the mixed product must be used promptly. Drying time: approx. 24 hours under normal conditions (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate); in unfavourable conditions, the drying time is correspondingly longer.
Consumption
1 kg is sufficient for approx. 20 - 25 m² - depending on the application method and substrate condition Determine the exact amount used by trial application on the object.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place. If unopened and stored properly, shelf life is at least 48 months from date of manufacture (see batch label).
Notes
Application temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C for material, circulating air and substrate Do not cover surfaces to be painted. Keep out of reach of children. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying. Avoid eating, drinking and smoking while using the paint. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
