Exterior Filler

Area of application

For levelling uneven substrates, for filling cracks and holes in mineral walls and ceilings in interior and exterior areas.

Preparation

Auf Beton, Porenbeton, Mauerwerk, Gips-, Kalk-, Zementputz, Dämm-, Hartschaum- und Leichtbauplatten. Nur für mineralische Untergründe. Auf Glas, Kunststoff und Metall nicht anwendbar.
Alle Untergründe müssen sauber, trocken, eben, trag- und saugfähig sowie trennmittelfrei sein. Zur Erhöhung der Festigkeit baufan Tiefgrund LF verwenden. Nicht zu verfestigende oder nicht genügend haftende Untergründe müssen vollständig entfernt werden. Im Zweifelsfall Probeauftrag vornehmen.

Processing

Slowly sprinkle baufan exterior filler into clear water in a clean mixing vessel while stirring until a paste-like and lump-free mixture is obtained. Mixing ratio for 1.0 kg of baufan Exterior Filler: Fill, trowel - approx. 0.3 to 0.4 litres of water. After mixing, leave to mature for approx. 1 minute and stir again. The prepared material remains workable for approx. 4 hours and should not be thinned afterwards. Apply with a spatula, trowel, etc. in any layer thickness. Clean tools with clean water immediately after use. Do not apply subsequent coats of paint or bond until the levelled surface is completely dry. The instructions of the paint and adhesive manufacturers for the pre-treatment of cementitious substrates must be observed. Drying time: approx. 12 hours per mm layer thickness under normal conditions (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate); under unfavourable conditions, the drying time is correspondingly longer. Open time: approx. 4 - 5 hours workable

Storage

Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place. If unopened and stored properly, shelf life is at least 48 months from date of manufacture (see batch label).

Processing temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C for material, ambient air and substrate Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid inhalation of dust. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. In case of contact with eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if possible. In case of contact with skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. If medical advice is required, have packaging or labelling ready. Do not allow to enter drains, waterways or soil.
