Area of application
SILIFIRN L impregnates mineral substrates to make them water-repellent, protects against moisture, frost damage and dirt and reduces heating costs.
Preparation
The substrate must be stable and free of separating agents (grease, mould oil, etc.). Cleaning measures such as the removal of green deposits (moss, lichen, etc.) must be carried out thoroughly before impregnation. Once the cleaning measures have been carried out, the surfaces must be completely dry before the next work step is carried out.
Processing
Apply SILIFIRN L from top to bottom twice wet-on-wet using a brush or paintbrush. If the substrate is very absorbent, apply a further coat after it has dried completely. The application quantity should be adjusted to the absorbency of the substrate - if necessary, create a test area.
Consumption
400 - 600 ml/m² when applied twice - depending on the substrate. Determine the exact consumption quantity by trial application on the object.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed and store in a cool but frost-free place.
Notes
Not suitable for surfaces containing plaster. Building defects such as cracks in the masonry, missing joints etc. must be closed/repaired before treatment. Do not carry out work in direct sunlight. Surfaces not to be treated must be protected beforehand by taking appropriate measures. Always wear personal protective equipment (safety goggles, gloves and respiratory protection) during application. Colour deepening is generally possible, therefore create a test area in an inconspicuous place. Do not apply below +5 °C object and ambient temperature. Clean tools immediately after use with PUFAS or decotric Brush Cleaner. Keep out of reach of children. Only dispose of empty containers for recycling. Dried material residues can be disposed of with household waste or as construction site waste. Dispose of liquid residues according to waste code no. EWC 08 01 11. Do not allow to enter the sewage system, bodies of water or soil.
