Technical information sheet

Area of application

A white gypsum-based filler, reinforced with synthetic resin, offering excellent adhesion properties for interior walls and ceilings.

Preparation

Suitable for use on all mineral substrates (such as render, stone, concrete, aerated concrete, masonry, etc.) as well as on plasterboard, gypsum fibreboard, cement fibreboard and similar drywall panels. The substrate must be dry, sound and free from release agents (dust, formwork oil, etc.). Pre-treat very smooth concrete as well as highly absorbent, sandy and chalky substrates with profimur Deep Primer LF. Sanded surfaces and the cut edges of plasterboard panels must also be primed to bind dust and reduce absorbency. Non-absorbent, smooth or dense substrates must be pre-treated with a quartz-based primer (e.g. profimur Betonkontakt 710).

Processing

Preparation:
Add 2 parts by volume of profimur Fill+Finish filler to 1 part by volume of cold, clean water (e.g. 1 kg of powder to 600 ml of water) and mix. After 3 minutes, give the filler a brief stir again.

Application:
Apply the prepared filler within 60 minutes. If necessary, a second coat can be applied wet-on-wet (immediately after the first coat has set) without causing the filler to curl or form ridges. Depending on the application thickness, ambient conditions and building moisture, the drying time is approx. 24 hours – under unfavourable conditions, the drying time may be extended accordingly.

Practical tip: Sanding:
The filled surfaces are easiest to sand within 4 days of application. For optimum sanding results, we recommend using a disc sander (grit 150–180) at slow to medium speeds and with light pressure.

Follow-up work:
To prevent subsequent coats from drying unevenly when spot-filling, the repaired areas – or even the entire surface – should be primed with profimur Tiefengrund LF.

Consumption

Approx. 1 kg of powder per m² at an application thickness of 1 mm.

Storage

Keep out of the reach of children, in a cool, dry place. Keep opened containers tightly closed.

Notes
