Water-based special primer for improving the adhesion of gypsum-, cement- and lime-based fillers and plasters to smooth, non-absorbent or slightly absorbent mineral surfaces (particularly concrete). Particularly suitable for smooth in-situ concrete or solid concrete slabs made from precast elements, as well as for smoothed precast concrete surfaces and rigid polystyrene foam boards. The product’s slightly reddish colour makes it easy to identify areas that have already been treated.

Area of application
Water-based bonding primer for smooth mineral surfaces (particularly concrete).Preparation
The substrate must be sound, dry and free from loose particles and release agents (formwork oil, curing agents, etc.). Moisture and moisture wicking up from the substrate must be prevented. Cover any areas not to be treated, as splashes are difficult to remove later.Processing
Stir profimur Betonkontakt before use and apply with a roller, brush, paintbrush or a suitable spraying device (screw pump). Only when applying by machine should you, if necessary, adjust the consistency to a sprayable state by adding a small amount of water. When applying by hand, apply in criss-cross strokes, wet-on-wet. Do not carry out any subsequent work until the product has dried through completely. Drying time: at least 24 hours – depending on temperature and humidity. At low temperatures and high humidity, drying times will be correspondingly longer. Before plastering, check the degree of dryness by carrying out a wipe test.Consumption
Approx. 250 g/m² per coat – depending on the substrate. Determine the exact application rate by carrying out a test application on the surface.Storage
Keep container tightly closed, childproof and store in a cool but frost-free place.Notes
Do not apply when the object or ambient temperature is below +5 °C. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with water. When applying by spraying, do not inhale the spray mist. Only send completely empty containers for recycling. Dried-out material residues may be disposed of as household waste or as construction site waste. Dispose of liquid residues in accordance with waste code EWC 08 01 12. Do not allow the product to enter the drains, watercourses or the ground.
