Area of application
For priming mineral substrates and for thinning silicate paints.Preparation
Suitable for substrates such as wall and ceiling surfaces made of concrete, cement and lime-cement plaster and masonry, as well as gypsum substrates and fibre-cement boards. Also suitable for well-adhered existing coatings of lime, mineral and silicate paints. The substrate must be dry, clean, absorbent and free from dust and grease. Substrates that will not set properly or do not provide sufficient adhesion, as well as sintered layers, must be completely removed. If in doubt, carry out a test coat. Repair cracks, holes and uneven areas with a suitable baufan filler.Processing
Shake or stir well before use and apply with a brush, paintbrush or flat brush. The primer can be applied undiluted or diluted with water up to a ratio of 1:2. Apply two coats of primer to highly absorbent substrates, wet-on-wet, and work it in thoroughly. Clean tools with water immediately after use.Drying time:
approx. 6 hours under normal conditions (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate); drying time will be correspondingly longer under unfavourable conditions.
Consumption
Smooth surfaces/fine plaster grain → from 100 ml/m²Determine the exact amount required by carrying out a test application on the surface.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place.Notes
Application temperature:+5 °C to +30 °C for the product, ambient air and substrate
Cover surfaces not intended for painting (particularly those made of glass, aluminium, ceramics and similar materials) beforehand. Wash off any accidental splashes immediately with water.
Do not mix with primers or paints based on other materials.
Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves and safety goggles (not glass). In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary. Do not allow the product to enter the drains, watercourses or soil.
