Glued ceiling and wall paint

Area of application

Distemper for interior wall and ceiling surfaces.

Preparation

For all mineral substrates (such as concrete, masonry, levelling compounds, cement, gypsum and lime plaster), plasterboard and other drywall panels, firmly adhering emulsion paint finishes, as well as woodchip wallpaper and other types of wallpaper. The surface must be dry, clean, sound, uniformly absorbent, and free from dust and grease. Remove loose material, old wallpaper, old distemper and poorly adhering paint from the surface. Prime highly absorbent, sandy and chalky surfaces with baufan Tiefgrund LF. Fill cracks, holes and uneven areas with a suitable baufan filler.

Processing

Pour the contents of the pack into 2 litres of clean, cold water whilst stirring vigorously, and continue stirring for a short time. Stir thoroughly again after 2 hours. For best results, it is recommended that you mix the paint the day before and leave it to stand overnight. The paint can be applied with a roller, paintbrush, brush or flat brush. If there are significant colour variations in the substrate, it is advisable to apply a second coat once the first coat has dried thoroughly. Clean tools with water immediately after use.

Drying time:
approx. 5 hours under normal conditions (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate); drying time will be correspondingly longer under unfavourable conditions.

Tinting:
With a maximum of 0.2% universal tinting concentrates or with solid-colour and tinting paints.

Consumption

Smooth surfaces/fine-grained render → 2 kg for approx. 15 m²
Determine the exact amount required by carrying out a test application on the surface.

Storage

Keep containers tightly closed and store in a cool, dry place.

Application temperature:
+5 °C to +30 °C for the material, ambient air and substrate

As baufan Glued Ceiling and Wall Paint does not contain any preservatives, the mixed product must be used within 2 days. To increase scrub resistance, baufan latex binder can be added to the mixed paint – in this case, the amount of water must be reduced in proportion to the amount of binder added.

Keep out of reach of children. Cover surfaces not to be painted. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying. Avoid eating, drinking and smoking whilst using the paint. In case of contact with the eyes or skin, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water. Do not allow the product to enter the drainage system, watercourses or soil. Only send completely empty containers for recycling.

Disposal:
Only send containers that have been completely emptied for recycling. Dried-out residues can be disposed of as household waste or as construction site waste. EWC waste code No. 17 09 04.
