Area of application
Non-woven wallpaper paste for wall pasting technique and classic application. Ideal for non-woven, vinyl, embossed, textile and glass fibre wallpapers, extra strong.
Preparation
The substrate must be dry, sound and free of separating agents (grease, dust, formwork oil, etc.). Remove old, poorly adhering wallpaper and distemper with baufan wallpaper stripper. Repair cracks and holes with baufan interior filler or decomur super adhesive filler. Pre-treat highly absorbent, sanding and chalking substrates with baufan Deep Penetrating Primer LF. For translucent wallpapers (especially on substrates of different colours), we recommend a primer coat of baufan Wallpaper Primer White.
Processing
Application ratio: Application to the substrate (non-woven wallpaper / poly-laminated glass fibre wallpaper): 1:15 = 7.5 litres of water = 37.5-50 m² Application to the wallpaper (vinyl wallpaper / heavy wallpaper; fabric / textile wallpaper): 1:20 = 10 litres of water = 50-62.5 m² Stir baufan Roll-Kleister quickly and quickly into cold water and continue stirring for a short time (see table for application ratio). Stir again vigorously after 5 minutes. Application to the substrate: As non-woven wallpapers do not require a soaking time, they can be applied quickly and easily using the wall pasting technique. To do this, apply the mixed paste evenly to the substrate with a short-pile roller or brush in the width of 1 - 2 wallpaper panels. Lay the wallpaper sheet directly into the fresh paste bed and press down evenly and bubble-free. When applying to the wallpaper: Spread the wallpaper evenly with paste and lay together. After sufficient soaking time, glue the wallpapers together and press on. To increase the moisture resistance and for slightly absorbent substrates, we recommend adding one 750g tin of baufan wallcovering adhesive per packet of mixed baufan Roll-Kleister. However, this additive should not be used when bonding dry-peel non-woven wallpaper, as this can impair the easy removal of the non-woven wallpaper when changing the wallpaper. The wallpaper manufacturer's processing instructions must be observed. Remove any paste residue on the front of the wallpaper immediately with a damp cloth.
