Area of application
Wallpaper paste for paper, vinyl, non-woven and woodchip wallpapers. Very high wet strength, ideal for textured wallpaper and paintable woodchip wallpaper.
Preparation
The substrate must be dry, stable and free of dust and grease. Remove old poorly adhering wallpaper and distemper with baufan wallpaper stripper. Repair cracks and holes with baufan interior filler or decomur super adhesive filler. Pre-treat highly absorbent, sanding and chalking substrates with baufan Deep Penetrating Primer LF or pre-paste (1:40 ratio). To make it easier to change the wallpaper later, it is recommended to prime the substrate with baufan Wallpaper Changing Primer, especially for washable wallpapers.
Processing
Mixing ratio: Pre-pasting: Mix 1:40 = 8.0 litres of water = 60-80 m² Rough wallpaper: Mix 1:20 = 4.0 litres of water = 20-25 m² Textured, non-woven, vinyl, embossed and heavy wallpaper: Mix 1:20 = 4.0 litres of water = 22-25 m² Pour paste into clean, cold water while stirring vigorously and stir again after 2 - 3 minutes. Stir again vigorously after approx. 15 minutes. Apply the paste to the wallpaper with a brush or wallpapering machine, lay the wallpaper strips together and apply after sufficient soaking time. Remove any remaining paste immediately with a damp cloth. Do not paint over the glued wallpaper until the paste is completely dry. Follow the wallpaper manufacturer's instructions for use. To increase the adhesive strength of heavy special wallpapers and glass fibre, a can of baufan Wallcovering Adhesive 750 g per packet of baufan Kraft-Kleister 200 g can be added. baufan Kraft-Kleister is lime and cement resistant. Clean tools with water after use.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place. If unopened and stored properly, shelf life is at least until: see batch label.
Notes
Processing temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C for material, ambient air and substrate Keep out of reach of children. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying. Avoid eating, drinking and smoking during use. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Do not allow to enter drains, waterways or soil. Only dispose of empty containers for recycling.
