Area of application
Paste for glass fibre fabric, wall and ceiling coverings as well as textile, cork and PVC wallpapers. Also suitable as an adhesion booster for wallpaper adhesives indoors
Preparation
Suitable substrates - concrete, aerated concrete, gypsum wallboards, levelling compounds, cement and gypsum plasters, rigid foam and wood-based panels, old emulsion and sanded paint coats. The substrate must be dry, clean, sound, evenly absorbent and free of dust and grease. Remove loose material, old wallpaper and poorly adhering coats of paint from the substrate. Prime highly absorbent, sanding and chalking substrates with baufan Deep Primer LF. If in doubt, carry out a test application. Repair cracks, holes and unevenness with a suitable baufan levelling compound.
Processing
Stir the adhesive well before use. Cut the glass fibre fabric or wallpaper to the appropriate length. Apply the adhesive generously and evenly to the wall with a lambskin roller in 1 - 3 widths and allow to flash off for a few minutes. Finally, apply the wallpaper to the wall using a hard rubber roller without leaving any bubbles. In the case of slightly absorbent substrates, low temperatures or high humidity, allow a slightly longer flash-off time. Please observe the wall covering manufacturer's processing guidelines for all work. Remove adhesive residues immediately with clean water. Clean tools with water immediately after use. The wall and ceiling surfaces can be painted over with suitable emulsion paints. The application time is approx. 20 minutes. The wall covering can still be corrected within a maximum of 15 minutes if necessary. Drying time Can be painted over after approx. 24 hours under normal conditions (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate); in unfavourable conditions, the drying time is correspondingly longer.
Consumption
Smooth surfaces → from 200 g/m² Determine exact consumption quantity by applying a test coat to the object.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place. If unopened and stored properly, shelf life is at least until: see batch label.
Notes
Processing temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C for material, ambient air and substrate Keep out of reach of children. Ensure adequate ventilation during processing and drying. Avoid eating, drinking and smoking while using the adhesive. Wear safety goggles. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Do not allow to enter drains, waterways or soil. Only dispose of empty containers for recycling.
