Area of application
Dispersion adhesive for PVC and CV floor coverings, carpets and needle felt. For indoors, suitable for underfloor heating and resilient due to chair castors.
Preparation
For substrates such as concrete, cement and heated screed, cementitious levelling compounds, gypsum and anhydrite flowing screed, stone wood, chipboard (V100) and similar moisture-resistant substrates. The substrate must be clean, permanently dry, level, load-bearing and evenly absorbent and free of dust and release agents. For rough or uneven substrates, we recommend levelling with floor levelling compound. Pre-treat highly absorbent, sandy and porous substrates with baufan Deep Primer LF. The floor covering to be bonded must be conditioned, levelled and relaxed.
Processing
Stir well before use and apply to the substrate with a notched trowel. Tooth size A2 (1.5 - 1.8 mm) for PVC and foam-backed carpets. Tooth size B2 (2.1 - 2.9 mm) for carpets with fleece, textile and jute backing. ► Wet bonding: For absorbent substrates or vapour-permeable coverings, lay the floor covering after a flash-off time of 10 - 20 minutes and press down evenly.
► Pressure-sensitive bonding: When bonding impermeable floor coverings (e.g. PVC) to non-absorbent substrates, allow the applied adhesive to flash off completely (approx. 30 - 60 minutes) before laying the floor covering in the adhesive bed. The required flash-off time depends on the room temperature, humidity and absorbency of the substrate and may be longer in unfavourable ambient conditions. Remove adhesive residues immediately with clean water and clean tools with clean water after use. The drying time depends on the processing temperature. Relative humidity above 90%, especially in conjunction with low temperatures, can significantly affect the drying time and quality properties. The flooring manufacturer's installation guidelines must be observed. PVC coverings can be welded after approx. 24 hours.
Consumption
for toothing A2 → approx. 200 - 300 g/m² for toothing B2 → approx. 350 - 450 g/m²
Storage
Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place. If unopened and stored properly, shelf life is at least 48 months from date of manufacture (see batch label).
Notes
Processing temperature: +10 °C to +30 °C for material, ambient air and substrate Keep out of reach of children. Ensure adequate ventilation during processing and drying. Avoid eating, drinking and smoking during application. Wear safety goggles. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Do not allow to enter drains, waterways or soil. Only dispose of empty containers for recycling.
