Area of application
White wallpaper primer for evenly absorbent, non-slip substrates - ideal before wallpapering, for light-coloured non-woven wallpapers and renovation work.
Preparation
Suitable for all mineral substrates (such as concrete, gypsum, lime and cement plaster), firmly adhering emulsion paint coats as well as plasterboard and other drywall. The substrate must be dry, firm, load-bearing, level and free of dust and grease. Remove loose material and poorly adhering paint from the substrate. Prime highly absorbent, sandy and chalky substrates with baufan Deep Primer LF. Remove old wallpaper and distemper coats with baufan Wallpaper Remover. Repair cracks, holes and unevenness with a suitable baufan levelling compound.
Processing
Stir well before use and apply with a roller, brush, paintbrush or suitable spraying equipment (the maximum grain size is 0.2 mm). Any further treatment of the substrate pre-treated with baufan Wallpaper Primer White may only be carried out after complete drying. Clean tools with water after use. Drying time: approx. 6-8 hours under normal conditions (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate); longer drying time under unfavourable conditions. Tinting: With a maximum of 10% universal tinting concentrates or full tone and tinting paint.
Consumption
Smooth surfaces/fine plaster grain → from 100-200 ml/m² Determine exact consumption quantity by test coating on the object.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place. If unopened and stored properly, shelf life is at least until: see batch label.
Notes
Application temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C for material, ambient air and substrate Surfaces that have already been painted white with wallpaper primer must not be reworked over large areas with gypsum-based levelling compounds. A dispersion-based levelling compound (such as baufan Finishing Filler or baufan All Purpose Filler) is recommended to ensure optimum adhesion. Cover surfaces that are not to be painted. Keep out of reach of children. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying. Do not inhale spray mist. Avoid eating, drinking and smoking while using the paint. Wear safety goggles. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Do not allow to enter drains, waterways or soil. Only dispose of empty containers for recycling. Hazardous respirable droplets may be produced when spraying. Do not inhale aerosol or mist. Use combination filter A2/P2 when spraying.
