Area of application
White insulating paint for interiors: covers nicotine, soot, grease and water stains - ideal for quick renovations in living spaces and hotels.
Preparation
For substrates such as concrete, cement and lime-cement plaster, masonry, gypsum substrates, fibre cement boards, also for adhesive dispersion plasters and wallpapers. Suitable as a top coat or can be recoated with wallpaper, emulsion paints and plasters. All substrates must be clean, dry, sound, absorbent and free of release agents. Use baufan Deep Penetrating Primer LF to increase the strength. Substrates that cannot be consolidated or do not adhere sufficiently must be completely removed. If in doubt, apply a test coat. Clean extremely contaminated substrates with grease-dissolving household cleaning agents. Pre-treat heavy nicotine, soot or grease stains and deposits mechanically (scrape off, sand down).
Processing
Stir well before use and apply with a roller, brush, paintbrush, flat brush or suitable spraying equipment. Apply the product undiluted. When coating larger areas, work wet on wet to avoid build-up. Clean tools with water immediately after use. Do not mix with other materials, including emulsion and solid colours. The insulating effect depends on the respective object situation. It is recommended to create test areas on site before application. Drying time: approx. 12 hours under normal conditions (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate); longer drying time in unfavourable conditions. Tinting: Tinting is possible with decoMIX tinting concentrates (LW oxide types only) up to max. 0.2% without impairing the insulating effect. Consumption
Smooth surfaces/fine plaster grain → from 150 ml/m² Determine exact consumption quantity by test coating on the object.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed in a cool but frost-free place. If unopened and stored properly, shelf life is at least until: see batch label.
Notes
Processing temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C for material, circulating air and substrate Do not cover surfaces to be painted. Keep out of reach of children. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying. Do not inhale spray mist. Avoid eating, drinking and smoking while using the paint. Wear safety goggles. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Do not allow to enter drains, waterways or soil. Only dispose of empty containers for recycling. caution! Hazardous respirable droplets may be produced when spraying. Do not inhale aerosol or mist. Use combination filter A2/P2 when spraying.
