Area of application
High-quality window putty for sealing single glazing.
Preparation
The bonding surfaces must be dry, stable and free of separating agents (dust, grease, etc.). Remove poorly adhering coats of paint. Pre-treat wooden rebates with an appropriate primer. Make sure that primer coats do not contain any release agents.
Processing
Press PROFI glass putty well into the rebate and smooth the surface with a putty knife. During the drying time, it is essential to prevent any condensation from penetrating the putty bed. As the putty requires oxygen to set, double windows must not be assembled immediately after glazing. After approx. 4 - 6 weeks, coat the hardened putty with a weather-resistant paint. Cold or wet weather conditions can significantly affect the drying time.
Storage
Store in a cool place and protected from direct sunlight. Shelf life in closed container 12 months.
Notes
The provisions of BFS data sheet no. 23, DIN 18361 and DIN 18545 must be observed. Do not use at temperatures below +5 °C. Only dispose of empty containers for recycling. Dried material residues can be disposed of with household waste or as construction site waste. Dispose of uncured residues according to waste code no. EWC 08 04 10.
